The Makara story is closely connected to the place it calls home. Our team members are recruited and trained from neighbouring villages, bringing a genuine local connection to the guest experience. Even the name Makara, inspired by the mythical sea creature of South Asian culture, reflects the brand’s relationship with water, adventure and coastal life.
