Pedro tea estate is located about 3.5 kms east of the Nuwara Eliya city center. The tea factory is open to visitors from 8 am to 5 am. It is easily accessible by car although public transport is not recommended. Here you are taken on a guided tour of the factory and the process how tea is manufactured, graded and packed for export is explained. After this tour you sit by the tea fields and enjoy a hot cuppa. The tea shop within the factory premises makes for a great buy of factory fresh and various grades to choose from.
